Marina Square is a planned 35 unit Luxury for-sale condominium project located on the beach front of the Sparks Marina Lake. Marina Square is scheduled to start construction in the latter part of 2018, post the scheduled completion of the rent-up of it’s neighboring sister property, the 209 unit Class “A” Waterfront Apartments. The 2.5-acre vacant land site features superior Mt. Rose and Marina lake views.
The project is designed to be a “high end” luxury Class “A” type that will attract downsizing discretionary “Baby Boomers,” who are home buying empty nesters.
At this time, the schematics and conceptual plans indicate feasibility of a 35-unit project. The units would average 2,000 square feet. Construction will be 3 or 4 story wood frame on a concrete podium type parking structure. The project is scheduled for a mid 2018 start date.
Marina Square, currently a vacant land site next to Marina Town Centre and The Waterfront Apartments, has flexible zoning allowing for many types of mixed uses.
Given the recent forecasts from prominent sources, the Reno-Sparks area may very well endure a housing shortage. Given superior location, lake, and close proximity to shopping amenities, it is anticipated this project will sell at price ranges of $400,000 to $600,000 each.
